WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – Local leaders and creators gathered to cut the ribbon on the Cape Fear Makers Guild’s new 5,000-square-foot headquarters Thursday.
The new site allows the nonprofit to expand its hands-on STEAM education programs, high-tech industrial machinery and community workshop space across the Cape Fear region.
“This expansion quadruples our capacity to serve Wilmington’s growing community of creators, innovators, and small business owners,” said Dr. Doug Hamerski, Executive Director of the Cape Fear Makers Guild.
A public grand opening and community celebration is scheduled for Nov. 14 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 808 S. 17th St.
